As part of the “Together for Dialogue” project, four key training sessions were organized to strengthen the capacity of the organizations involved and enhance the quality of the project’s intellectual outputs.
Expert Seminar (Side, Turkiye):
Aimed to develop a civic competence framework. This seminar focused on creating a tool to assess civic competencies among young people, covering knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The collaborative effort ensured that the tool effectively supported the project’s goal of enhancing civic participation and dialogue.
Training for Youth Workers (Budy Głogowskie, Poland):
Youth workers came together to discuss and develop tools and methods for the project. Through the exploration of topics such as group work, communication, experiential learning, and critical thinking, participants exchanged valuable experiences that refined the tools to be included in a guidebook for youth workers.
Youth Exchange (Kaunas, Lithuania):
Young participants engaged in activities, discussions, and collaborative projects, promoting active citizenship and a European identity. This training also prepared local activities, online courses, and campaigns, significantly contributing to the third intellectual output and extending the project’s impact.
These three LTTAs were crucial to the overall success of the “Together for Dialogue” project. By sequentially building the capacity of youth workers and young leaders, the project ensured that its innovative methodologies were effectively implemented and sustained beyond the project’s duration. The expert seminar provided the foundational knowledge and skills needed to address key competency gaps, while the training for youth workers offered practical tools and experience for applying these skills in local contexts. The youth exchange, in turn, allowed for the testing and refinement of these methodologies, ensuring that they were effective and relevant across different cultural and social settings.
By the end of the project, these activities had not only empowered a network of skilled youth workers and leaders but had also created a lasting impact on the communities they serve. The structured dialogues, civic engagement activities, and local interventions initiated during these LTTAs have laid the groundwork for continued youth involvement in civic life, contributing to stronger, more resilient communities across Europe. The collaborative spirit fostered during these activities will continue to inspire and guide future initiatives aimed at empowering young people and fostering inclusive, participatory dialogue.
